Are we seeing the end of the Construction Review?

Each month we are seeing more Photo Reviews and less Construction Reviews? Why is this? I have sent a message on the mailing list and talked to some of the people who do reviews for the magazine to try and find out why this is happening. This is a hobby and most people build models to relax from the day to day pressures of real life. To ask them to sit down and take pictures and record each step of the construction of the model makes it more like a job then a hobby. Taking pictures of the completed model does not seem to take away from the pleasure of the hobby.

The problem that I am having with the magazine is that most of the readers, while they do not want to write Construction Reviews, want to see Construction Reviews. The problem is that I just do not have the time to do everything. Just trying to edit this magazine is taking up a lot of my time. I just am not willing, nor do I have the time to do construction reviews for the magazine.

Through donations and the selling of models that we have purchased for reviews in the magazine we have made a little money. What I am trying to do at this point is to see if there is anyone out there who would be willing to write construction reviews for pay. The problem that I see with this is that we do not have much money and can not pay very much money for the reviews.

The question is what happens to the magazine if we start to see the Construction Reviews disappear ? Will the reader ship begin to drop? These are questions that I can not answer at this time. Time will only tell.
