In part I of this review I described the assembly of the foundations with the courtyard, the gatehouse with the main entrance and the flanking compartment with one of the big towers. From there the construction of the kit moved on to the other end of the castle, and out of a few big pieces the main building with the throne and dining rooms was built. Component 25 provides the base for hexagonal tower on the side of the main building, and you have here the option to cut a paste an extra part with the relief of a horseman. The main building was then assembled from components 26 to 29. These consist of some very big parts, and as the glue has only a limited opening time, I glued one connecting strip after the other in a stepwise process to get those parts into the correct position. For the narrow gaps at the end of the process the glue was applied with a strip of paper. Component 26 has again an optional extra part for a sculpture to be place in one of the corners of the outer wall. Similarly the retaining walls for components 26 and 29 are considered optional parts, which could be left out for an easier assembly. The photos given below show the main building after the ceiling (component 30) was added:
The construction of the main building was continued by the assembling components 31 to 35. These parts provide the base for the round side tower, an oriel, and a walkway with a balcony. Again the retaining walls (components 35) are considered optional parts, though their assembly is not very difficult. The photos given below give you an impression on the details of the assembled parts:

The next step is the assembly of the side wing adjacent to the oriel of the main building. This part of the castle was put together out of components 36 to 43. Though the construction was rather straightforward part 42 c, one of the wings of the roof, was very tight in my hands and did not fit in easily. The photos given below show the finished wing:
From the side wing the construction moved on the other side of the courtyard where the two-storey arcades were assembled from components 44 to 58. The roof of the arcades has more details as four small chimneys have to be built. Here I face my first problem during the construction of the model: Part 58 of the roof was to short on both sides and I had to help it with two small paper strips to cover the gaps. Otherwise the assembly of the arcades moved on smoothly, and the photos given below show the completed structures:
Part II of this review ends here. So far the construction went on smoothly as the parts fit nicely with the one exception mentioned. Hopefully I will find the time to conclude the construction of the entire model for next month issue of the card model magazine. The remaining components 59 to 78 will be needed to build the roof of the main building and its two side towers.
