1:33 scale P-61 "Black Widow" published by Modele Kartonowego Fana of Poland. The model designed is Rafel Ciesielski who has also designed several models for GPM of Poland including their F8F Bearcat and Ta-152. The model I received came on a CD, which is no longer available, containing instructions and 5 pages of diagrams. 4 pages of formers to be glued to cardboard and 14 pages of parts, all distributed as PDF documents. The model pages are formatted for A4 paper but can be printed on 8.5 X 11 inch paper using the Adobe Acrobat "shrink to fit" print feature at the expense of creating a slightly off scale model.

At over total 1300 parts this is not a trivial model to build. The model is designed to allow building at different detail levels depending but even at the lower detail levels this is a model suited to the intermediate to advanced modeler. The model boasts one of the most well detailed interiors I have ever seen on a card-model. Advanced details include two completely detailed Wright Cyclone engines, which consist of over 200 parts each. While the large number of parts does make this a challenging model to build it assembles without difficulty due to superb design and excellent parts fit.

For the builder who has the patience and skill to tackle a complex model with a large number of parts the result is a very detailed and attractive model. Unfortunately I do not believe this model is currently being distributed outside of Poland and is in printed format only.
