Torpedoboat Raubtier (Predator) -class
Photos by the Author

The kit shows a member of the Raubtier-class torpedoboat an enhanced successor of the Raubvogel-class. All sister ships may be built (Jaguar, Wolf, Iltis, Leopard, Luchs, Iltis, Tiger).

The model itself is not very difficult to build. Although there are some very small parts, they are still easy to build without sophisticated tools. The fit of the more than 300 parts is very good. The overall bright color does not need a coloring of the cutting edges. With a length of 37 cm the model is a giant beneath the small Wilhelmshaven ships.

I applied an experimental rigging with UHU(yellow). For it I took an old tube of UHU which make long, thin and stable threads. After some exercise one can start with a little dip on the origin, then move fast to the destination. The thread will hold there immediately. Unfortunately these threads are not well reproduced on the images.

I would recommend this model to the advanced beginner with some knowledge in Wilhelmshaven ships.
