Eisbaer

The model is the German navy tug "Eisbär". It's in
1/100 scale and an enlargement of the 1/250 scale Wilhelmshaven model. I made
improvements and added a lot of details working from original photographs and
sketches which I have been provided with by Jeff Kwiok and Dr. Siegried Stölting
the director of "Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum" (that's were the DSM
card model kits come from). Without the friendly help of them it would have
been impossible to finish the model. I made a big mistake and started to build
the model without looking for good enough sources. The only references I had
at this time was one original photograph which I took years ago and the Wilhelmshaven
kit.Not even on the Internet was something available. So I was very happy when
Jeff and Mr. Stölting send me more Pictures to work from. So it's mainly
due to them that I was able to finish the model.
