Lost Frontier Guard Tower

I was so amazed when I first saw this new model by Leo Hartas of Fantasy Cutouts that I had to have it immediately. And immediate it was. Within 5 minutes of punching in my Visa card number, the model was being printed on my trusty Canon 3000. Originally designed as a prop for role players and fantasy wargamers, it can easily be adapted to different scales and added to any collection. The tower has secret rooms and doors and is built to be easily dissambled in play. The model and instructions are zipped .pdf pages.

1. The model was printed on 140 gsm Splendorgel EW and the base glued to a piece of 300 gsm Canson watercolour card using spray adhesive. I cut a couple of finger holes in the white waste section which came in handy when I was gluing the top parts on.
Note: The files are in A4 format and may truncate when printed on US letter size paper.

2. The inner walls of the dungeon are glued in place.

3. The outer walls and top glued into place.
Note: The tab locating slots on part 19 were accidentally omitted. Make sure you cut some as per part 15 before you glue it down. I found it easier to attach parts 20 - 24 and the stair assembly before the top was sealed.

4. The first floor and removable wall. I botched this bit up when I was gluing the top onto the main wall. Next time I will split part 38 in half and glue it in two stages to stop the wall from warping in. One of the locating slots is in the wrong place so study the parts and cut a new one before going too much further.

5. The second floor went together very smoothly

6. As did the third floor.

7. The completed tower. Take your time with the top bit because it tends to be a bit fiddly. This model was really fun to build with its secret rooms and dungeon. The instructions provided are not comprehensive, but rather a 'guide' to construction.
