Around the Industry For the Month of December 2002
General:
Spishop Is expanding its lines to include most of the Polish models. Located in the Czech Republic they will have much quicker access to models than companies in the U.S. Below are some excerpts from message Joseph sent to me:

Scheuer & Struver Is showing a number of figures of famous people throughout History on their page. Scheuer & Struver is located in Germany so those in the U.S. may want their models sent by express to avoid delays. Fiddlers Green is in the process of changing their "Magic Key" method of distribution of new models. No more passwords and usernames, they will now send those with the key a URL to click on and download the model.
Aircraft:
Gomix The Gomix page on Sauls Cardmodeling Pages is showing a restock of canopies and wheels. Several new lines of canopies are now shown including Halinski, ModelCard and Modelik. Located in the U.S. it is the only place in on this side of the ocean these accessories are available from. Gryf Has the 1/33 Quest Pflaz DIIIa available. Located in Poland this company does not accept anything but cash or money transfers. Cost of money transfer and postage to the U.S. will be high. This model is also available in the U.S. from DeWayne Barnett as a model by Marek. The also have the Maly Modelarz Hurricane which is available in the U.S. from Paper Models International. Scheuer & Struver Is showing the following models in 1/50, Jak 3, R4B and Spitfire from these companies, Quest, KEL and Ajax. All of the above are models that Marek Pacyinski has designed and are available in the U.S. from DeWayne Barnett. A new company they are showing is Paper Trade. They have the following models in 1/50 scale X-3, Gloster Meteor and YB49. Scheuer & Struver is located in Germany so those in the U.S. may want their models sent by express to avoid delays. Moshe Lemer has announced that he is releasing Dr. Zarkov's P-180 Avanti on CD in PDF format. The aircraft has been available for some time in printed format. Fiddlers Green Has just announced the soon to be released model, the Ju 87 Stuka.
Ships:
Gryf Has the GPM Prince of Wales available. Located in Poland this company does not accept anything but cash or money transfers. Cost of money transfer and postage to the U.S. will be high. Gomix has released several sets of accessories for the Model Shipyard 1/96 HMS Victory. There is a set of 24 pounder cannon, a set of 36 pounder cannon and a set of masts for the ship.
Architecture:
Scheuer & Struver has a large selection of new buildings. Most are in German and as I do not speak this language I can not describe them. If you are interested you can visit their page to see what they are. Scheuer & Struver is located in Germany so those in the U.S. may want their models sent by express to avoid delays. Fiddlers Greens Chip Fyn says that, while on his summer travels, he has designed 32 new Light Houses. They will be available soon on a CD along with the rest of his Light Houses. Those with magic keys will be getting some of these very soon.
Vehicles:

Cost of money transfer and postage to the U.S. will be high. DeWayne Barnett Has a new train series CD available from Fabrizio Prudenziati that contains a snow plow, a boxcar and a water tank car. Scheuer & Struever has 5 new Modelik vehicles listed: 2 tanks, 2 locomotives, and a Horch 1a in a different color scheme than the version released earlier this year. Spishop Has a good selection of all types of models, but of particular interest to vehicle modelers are his offerings of civilian cars and trucks from Czech publishers such as Megagraphic, Vimos, and PK Graphica. Paper Models International has "found" a few copies of Alcan's discontinued 1:6 scale 1927 Mercedes Sportwagen S-26. At nearly 2 feet long, it's a pretty impressive model. Red Star Models now has the following available from Modelik: BT - 5 WWII Soviet Tank, WWII German Jeep the Horch 1a, SdKfz 163, and the T2 - 71 1939 Steam locomotive all in 1/25
